Chuck Menke is a senior writer analyst who has written and edited various publications on consumer finance. Chuck is currently a co-editor of the Consumer Credit Guide and a contributing editor on the Banking and Finance Law Daily. Chuck also developed and edited the Personal Loan Compliance Guide and State Banking Law Reporter, and was an editor of the Mortgage Compliance Guide. He also contributed to: (1) Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005: Law & Explanation; (2) Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act: Law, Explanation and Analysis; and (3) Dodd-Frank Manual Series.
Prior to joining Wolters Kluwer, Chuck practiced law for 12 years, primarily in the consumer finance area representing lenders, finance companies, leasing companies, and motor vehicle dealers. In addition, Chuck was active in state legislative activities, including participation in a Task Force charged with reviewing Illinois consumer finance laws.
Chuck holds a B.S. in Business Administration from DePaul University and a J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law.
